PRESIDENT George W. Bush apologised for the first time yesterday for the abuse of Iraqi prisoners by US troops and criticised Defence Secretary Donald Rumsfeld for not keeping him informed about problems at the US prisons in Iraq.

Rumsfeld and other top Pentagon workers are due to be mad on the abuse today by the armed services committees of both the Senate and House of Representatives. "I told him I should have known about the pictures and the report," he said - an apparent reference to a Pentagon document completed in March, detailing what appeared to be a pattern of abuse. But he called Rumsfeld "an important part of my Cabinet," and said that he would reman so.

"For the good of our country, the safety of our troops, and our image around the globe, Secretary Rumsfeld should resign," Harkin said in a statement. "If he does not resign forthwith, the president should fire him."

Writing Task 1

Blunt Review for starsky and hutch Author Emily Blunt

What a cast! Owen Wilson (who is always entertaining), Ben Stiller (seldom dull) Vince Vaughn, and Snoop Dogg (does a great job as Huggy Bear) Emily Blunt says. Stiller and Wilson ride a different vibe than David Soul and Paul Michael Glaser (the original stars of the 70's show, btw, they cameo). While it's never plain bad, the film is not really plain good, and very seldom plain funny. (Mildly amusing fits.) Though there is this one hands-down-hilarious scene where a small Korean boy defends his father with kitchen steak knives. It comes out of nowhere and cracks up the audience like no other sequence before it or after it.

Those in the know will also enjoy Wilson singing Hutch's pop hit song, "Don't Give up on Us Baby." David Soul recorded it in the 70's. Great to see that famous Gran Torino back in action. I have to admit, I used to pretend to be Starsky when I was nine, and my best bud (the blonde), he was Hutch. But, I'm not nine anymore, and this picture was probably as good as the TV series was -- a or solid B. Emily Blunt seemed to enjoy the movie adn thought the audience liked it also.

There first impression of the movie is a bit predictible and they seem to have got a bit bored from it but as he writes he says "The film hits home runs with both highbrow and lowbrow gags" which
means he thinks they have set the movie out really good.
Jim Carrey may be unconvincing as a TV newsman in "Bruce Almighty" He needs a hair cut and a new sense of fashion. he holds his microphone like he doesnt no how to talk into it. God decides to give Bruce all his powers to see how different and hard it is to control everything. Bruce finds out the advantages of it but also the disadvantages. He can lift up girls dresses which he enjoys and he can make his wifes boobs bigger. But he does find it hard to store all the prays that ppl give every day and he thinks to solve this problem he will say yes to every pray. The next day because everything has come true for ppl the world is going crazy and the city is getting torn appart. Bruce panics and goes to see god again and wants him to take his powers back. God does and everything is put back to normal and Bruce becomes a news man and they live happily ever after.

Advantages:
- Helps kids realise that you have to look after animals for them to survive.
- They now feel like they have a responsibility.
- It teachers ppl to not neglect ppl or pets.
- You can meet ppl in the chat link.
- It is fun.

Disadvantages:
- It brain washes kids minds to the comp 24/7
- Younger kids could get emotional if there animal dies and it could brake there hearts.
- They have to fight to get points and they might try the moves on humans.
-Kids might get selvish

$50 billion go into education every year for the sake of the kids and the teachers. Why arent we learning anything, i think its because the teachers are far enough educated themselves. If they were really smart then we should be really smart if they are teaching us the right things. Thanks to video games and tv shows we seem to learn a lot of them maybe as much as we learn at a normal day at school. After school kids are going home and instead of studying they are going straight to the computer or playstation or anything like that.

The reason for the sudden increase of users is that it’s suddenly got much, much easier to make and publish a good-looking Web site. My favorite types of music is Rock and some R&B. If you go to the Hot 30 you will find some of my favourite music. I also love to play sport. I play cricket, tennis, footy and basketball. I played for the eastern ranges on footy which is a rep side and i have played for hatch in cricket. On the weekend i made 54 not out and my team made 209 runs which was our biggest score. If you go to the Fertree Gully Cricket Association page you will find all of our scores under the junior section. I have 1 sister and she is 13 and goes to Highvale aswell. I have been playing for only about 5 months and i have taught myself. My uncle is a really good guitarist and he has taught me a little bit aswell. My uncle has a brand new Harley Davidson which was over 38 grand and my dad is thinking of buying me and him a road bike so we can go and ride with my mate and his dad because they are buying some aswell. My dad wants a Harley but he is not sure which one to get. All of my uncles are rich and its not fair because we aren't rich. I love christmas and my birthday because they always give me something good. For example for my birthday last year they gave me a mobile phone and an acustic guitar, the same uncle at the same time it was so good. My riches uncle lives in Toorak and he owns all the stores in Australia for Hitachi. I did work experience there which was really good because a like electronics. I fixed tv's, dvd's, remotes and digital video camera.
